Irish Wolfhound is largest dog in the world. It is found in Ireland and is also considered the tallest dog in the world. Irish Wolfhound can reach a height of 110 cm while its weight can range between 40 to 69 kgs, making it the tallest as well as the heaviest dog breed in the world. Irish Wolfhound was about to extinct in the 19th century but it was bred by a British resident in 19th century.

2nd Largest dog on the earth is Bouviers which has black fur and it weighs about 34 to 41 kgs normally. It is the second biggest as well as the third tallest dog in the world with an average height of 58 to 71 Cm. The origin of this dog breed is Belgium whereas this dog can be used for multiple purposes like cart pulling, cattle droving and sheep herding.

Afghan hound is the third largest dog breed in the world. It can weigh about 26 to 34 kgs and its origion is Northern Afghanistan but now they are found in almost all parts of the world. Afghan hound is the second tallest dog breed in the world with an average height of 68 to 73 cm. They have thick and silky fur which is their distinguished look.

English setter is the fourth largest dog in the world as it weighs about 25-36 kilograms on average. It is also the fourth tallest dog in the world with average shoulder height of 61-69 cm. These dogs are used for multipurpose tasks. From the outlook, they have gray patches on their body.

Airedale is the fifth largest as well as well as fifth tallest dog in the world. The weight of Airedale can vary from 23Kg to 29 kg whereas the height can vary from 56 cm to 61 cm. Therefore it stands at the fifth position in the list of tallest dogs in the world.
